Horsemanship
Horsemanship is our weekly unmounted (no riding) program for groups of kids ages 6-12. Students learn to care for horses: feeding, grooming, first aid, vital signs, poisonous plants, stable management, tacking up, etc. Each session is two months of weekly 90 minute fun with informational hand outs, hands-on practice and a thorough curriculum. Home schooling groups, families contemplating horse and pony ownership, and everyone else interested in everything horse-pony are welcome. Adult groups may be formed when there is an interest!
Wednesdays from 4:00-5:30, and other days/times by request for your small group. Groups of 3-6 kids work best for this active, year ’round program with and about horses. $15/person/week, 2 month commitment ($120 total).
Emily is a Columbia Virtual Academy approved community based instructor! This means that if your child is enrolled in the CVA program, your Horsemanship fees are reimburse-able by CVA.
